"I have witnessed this tree thru many seasons. Each time I enter her sacred space I'm lured by an unseen force to reach out to touch her...running my fingers playfully down her body.
The blanket of moss and ferns that adorn her roots are soothing to the soul.
I've watched my grown son shimmy up her branches, as he did when he was a child, and cradling himself in her arms. He too has felt the pull of this Siren.
I sense her delight in these human interactions, especially with those who understand their interconnectedness with Nature.
She has witnessed much in her forest home. She continues to unfold into a beautiful Being. The rich fertile earth deeply anchors her eloquent roots into the Mother.
I send her gratitude and love as
we embrace before I continue my journey down the trail.
