Standing in the heat of the day my focus was transfixed on this patch of Daisies. The honeybees were buzzing all around me and I couldn't help but giggle with delight. This is such goodness I thought...this is true love!

“Walk quietly through this sacred path,
the mountain murmured.
A path of green moss and lichen,
living in harmony with the flowers
that blanket the soft fertile forest with a beautiful song.” ~Sophia Noll
My Song
How many times have I fallen short in my attempts to “save the world”? Never feeling that I have made a dent in the grand scheme of things.

"Night time at the ocean is one of my most favorite experiences. The whole world shifts and there's a silence that takes back stage to the sound of the waves rushing to converge with the sand. The moonlight transforms the surface of the ocean into a velvet blanket of midnight blue.
Nature Reflects
"Recently I released two Monarchs that I raised on my porch garden. I watched them swell into hefty caterpillars as they devoured the milkweed leaves on my tiny plants. Then without warning they attached themselves with silk like threads to the top of the butterfly house. Hanging in a “J” formation I watched them shed their skin revealing an emerald chrysalis that was to be their new abode for approximately 16 days. Their tiny chrysalis was exquisite and embellished with specks of gold!

"The days are growing shorter for these winged ones. Soon they will disappear and be replaced by a different kind of Nature's beauty. So for now I will capture all of Nature's color thru my camera lens and share it with you. This beauty was in my friends yard feeding on these delicate flowers.

"I was meandering thru my Costa Rica trip photos from last March and I came to a screeching halt when I saw this Purple Eared hummingbird that I captured in the Cloud Forest. How can so much beauty be contained in one tiny bird? I thought. Take in the delicious colors and feel the peace that comes from meditating upon the shades of blue, green, and purple. Allow it to resonate with your inner being and draw you outside into Nature's playground wherever you may be on this planet we call home."
Go outside! Nature is calling you!! Love, Sophia

Summer Tryst
"The outer bands of a very large hurricane is passing thru as I write this... bringing cooler temps and warning signs to the winged and petaled ones that fall and winter are knocking at their doors. Images like this will be but a memory of what Nature unfolded for our viewing during the summer months.

Autumn is almost here I thought as I felt the cool air embrace me while standing on the lake's shore. I watched the landscape rapidly change as the sun gave up her place to the emerging night time sky

This is the time of year when the Monarchs are getting ready for their migration South. I have had the privilege of watching two caterpillars grow from a tiny spec to full size on my milkweed plant. Each day I watched the hungry caterpillars eating leaf after leaf...they are quite veracious eaters!

"I captured this photo at the Arboretum here in Asheville where life was buzzing all around me. The clouds in the background framed this honeybee so nicely and reminded me of the saying...As above, so below. From the Macro to the Microcosm.

I watched this flying miracle meticulously going in and out of each tiny flower seeming to never tire. So much work I thought for such little return. Fortunately they don't think like humans or they would be extinct! :)

“I caught a glimpse of movement on the other side of the glass doors that open to my tiny porch. I was about to turn my focus back to what I had been doing when I felt that inner tug to investigate. Reaching for the door knob I saw a delicate white ball dancing on the porch as if it was beckoning me to come out and play. Stepping thru the portal I reached out to touch to it as the seed descended into the palm of my hand."
